Custom CD Duplication for Short Runs
Custom CD duplication is a practical choice for independent releases, tour merchandise, radio promos, DJ mixes, studio references, and other short-run projects. We copy your approved audio or data onto high-grade Verbatim recordable CD-R media and print your artwork directly on each disc.
Need them quickly? We can have your order ready in as little as 24 hours with our fast schedules and nationwide shipping. The exact schedule depends on the product, packaging, quantity, and upgrades, so plan your release-date order around both production and transit time.
Full Color Direct CD Printing
We can pre-print your discs with your custom artwork, including your brand or logo, business name, address, and phone number, on as many discs as you need. It's a great product for a medical, veterinary, or similar business: your patients can get personalized information on a disc that carries all of your contact details.
Custom CD Replication for Bulk Releases
Custom CD replication creates pressed discs from raw polycarbonate rather than recording content onto pre-made CD-Rs. The process starts with a glass master, then stampers mold the audio or data into each disc. It takes more setup and longer than duplication, but it becomes a strong option for high-volume commercial releases.
Duplication is the usual process for quantities under 500, and we recommend replication once an order goes above 1,000. The right choice still depends on quantity, budget, packaging, and delivery date. Rush schedules of five days or less are always produced through duplication, even at higher quantities.
Custom CD Replication Services for Labels
Our CD replication service gives labels, distributors, studios, and established artists one path from approved master to packaged release. Disc manufacturing, artwork printing, inserts, booklets, assembly, barcodes, and fulfillment all run through a single supplier, so you aren't sourcing discs, print materials, and packaging from separate vendors.
Plan replication well before the release date. Glass mastering, pressing, printing, assembly, and shipping each take time, and special packaging or extra finishing adds more. Deliver a final master and approved artwork early enough to leave room for proof review without putting the launch at risk.
To order replication, just leave a comment on your order. There's no need to create a custom quote.
Endless CD Packaging Options
We offer popular packaging like slim jewel cases with printed booklet inserts, clamshells, and wallets. Our white window envelopes and clear vinyl sleeves are a great option if you'd like a simple layer of protection that will show off your disc face while saving money.
We also offer printed sleeves and jackets, four-panel and six-panel digipaks, mailers, and bulk-disc packaging. Booklets and inserts can carry lyrics, credits, liner notes, studio details, contact information, or a message for fans.
Also, we are one of the only online print shops to offer custom shaped packaging for endless innovation: want a digipak that will secure your disc and is also shaped like a lighthouse? We have you covered.
Short Run & Bulk Orders – Order as few as 25 Discs
We are dedicated to meeting all of our customers' unique needs. Order as few as 25 discs or place a bulk order of thousands. Get as few or as many discs as you need.
Replicate OR Duplicate?
CD Duplication
Duplicated discs are also known as burned discs. We take your files or master disc and copy them onto high-grade Verbatim recordable CD-R or DVD-R. Your artwork is then printed directly onto these discs.
This is the usual manufacturing process for quantities less than 500, and it is also available for higher quantities if you need a very fast production schedule. Today, 90% of all CDs manufactured in the USA are duplicated.
CD Replication
Replicated discs, both CDs and DVDs, are also known as pressed discs and are manufactured from raw materials. A glass master is made from your original audio or video files. Stampers then produce an exact replica from the glass master via injection molding to embed your audio or video. Replication is a longer manufacturing process.
The choice is usually based on schedule needs and price. Duplication is typically faster and more affordable but still retains quality. We recommend duplication for orders under 1,000 and replication above 1,000. To order CD replication, just leave a comment on your order. No need to create a custom quote.
Rush schedules of 5 days, 3 days, 1 day, or same day will always be duplicated.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is custom CD duplication?
Custom CD duplication is the process of copying audio, video, or data files onto recordable CDs. Each disc is burned individually from your supplied master or files, then printed with your custom artwork. It is a fast and flexible option for musicians, DJs, studios, events, and promotional campaigns.
What is custom CD replication?
Custom CD replication is a disc-pressing process for larger orders. A glass master is made from your approved content, and the finished CDs are injection-molded to create exact copies. Replication usually takes longer than duplication but is typically more cost-effective for higher quantities.
What is the difference between CD duplication and CD replication?
CD duplication records your approved content onto pre-manufactured CD-R media. CD replication creates a glass master and stampers, then molds the content into newly manufactured polycarbonate discs. Duplication is usually faster and better suited to short runs, while replication is generally more economical for larger commercial quantities.
Should I choose CD duplication or CD replication?
Choose duplication for a smaller run, a faster turnaround, or a rush order. We generally recommend it for orders below 1,000 discs. Choose replication for larger production runs, particularly above 1,000 CDs and when you're planning broader retail or distribution use. Rush schedules of five days or less are always duplicated regardless of quantity.
What files are needed to make an audio CD?
A final, correctly ordered audio master plus print-ready artwork sized to the disc and packaging templates you've chosen. Track titles, artist details, CD-Text, barcode information, and any special spacing instructions should be finalized before mastering.
How do I order CD replication?
Leave a comment on your order and we'll handle it. There's no need to create a custom quote.
What brand of discs do you duplicate on?
We duplicate exclusively on Verbatim recordable media. Verbatim is the most widely used optical brand and holds up well for long-term storage of music, video, images, and data.
